Following The Death Of His Childhood Best Friend, He Cheated On His Wife With His Friend’s Sister, But His Wife Claimed She Deserved It For Having A One-Night Stand Three Years Ago
This man is currently married, but about three years ago, his wife actually had a one-night stand with a random guy she met at a bar and cheated on him.
For some people, this would have been an absolute dealbreaker. But, while he was heartbroken, he opted to forgive his wife and work on their relationship.
He realized that she was genuinely remorseful about what she’d done, and she worked hard to reconcile their differences.
“I also recognized there were difficulties in our marriage, and I wasn’t without fault,” he recalled.
“My wife did tell me during reconciliation that she would immediately forgive me if I chose to step out of the marriage, but I told her that was out of the question.”
In the years since then, they recovered well, too. But, after the loss of his childhood friend just last month, he put their marriage in jeopardy again.
Once he heard about his friend’s death, he was quite devastated and had trouble coming to terms with the news. He knew that his friend’s sister was struggling as well.
Apparently, he used to be pretty close with the woman as they dated for a month back in college.
“But I couldn’t do it and called it off because, even though she was really pretty and nice, I always considered her more like my own sister,” he detailed.

Yet, one week after his friend’s funeral, his actions suggested otherwise.
It all began when his friend’s sister invited him over to eat dinner and have a few drinks. At first, he was unsure about the idea, but he ultimately decided to go anyway.
While he was there, he and his friend’s sister cooked their favorite meal together as they discussed her brother and life in general.
“It was really emotional, and she was crying a lot,” he explained.
“She shared with me some of the love letters she had written for me back in high school, where she really wanted to date me, but I didn’t because I considered best friend’s sisters as off limits.”
Later that same evening, he and his friend’s sister proceeded to watch Netflix in her living room.
Before long, they also began cuddling on the couch and launched into a full-on makeout session that lasted for a couple of hours.
Then, by the end, they were both exhausted and wound up simply sleeping on the couch.
He is glad about this in hindsight. He definitely felt guilty when he woke up the following morning, but he still felt some relief knowing that he didn’t sleep with the woman or “cross that boundary.”
Upon arriving home, he didn’t hesitate to tell his wife the truth, either.
“And she broke down in tears, but she said it was what she deserved for what she did three years ago,” he revealed.
Despite his wife basically saying it was okay given her past infidelity, he can’t help but wonder if cheating on her now still made him a real jerk.
Do two wrongs ever make a right? Was it inappropriate for him to meet up with his friend’s sister in the first place, given their history?
