Two years ago, this 25-year-old girl met her 25-year-old boyfriend on a dating app, and seven months ago, they moved in together.
Their second anniversary is quickly approaching, and to celebrate, she thought it would be a cute idea to screenshot their very first conversation and put that image on a cake.
So, she reinstalled the dating app they originally met on, and before she could even try to find their conversation, she noticed her boyfriend had updated his profile on the app with brand new photos.
She did then locate their conversations, which made it hurt even worse to find out that he was clearly active on the app.
The latest photo her boyfriend shared on the app was from November of 2023 when they went on vacation together.
Her boyfriend has been traveling for the past three weeks, so she decided to call him to inquire about what she discovered.
Her boyfriend promised that on a weekend when she was out of town, he was out drinking with his friends and made the dating app profile as a joke, or rather, a silly bet.
“It’s not that I don’t trust him, but earlier, just after that week I was away, I also found him sliding into a girl’s DM on Instagram saying something like, “Hey, we met last week. Remember me?”
“His excuse was again that it was a bet. I had to stalk that girl’s profile to find that she hasn’t been in the city for months and let it slide.”
