In New York City, snug accommodations for expensive prices are hardly a rarity. But after a realtor gave a tour of what he deemed to be the “tiniest” apartment in New York City, people expressed their outrage online.

The realtor, Omar Labock, works at a real estate company called Douglas Elliman. He shared an Instagram Reel documenting the key features of the laughably small space, which costs $1,200 per month to rent.

The building was located in Midtown Manhattan, and the microscopic rental was on the third floor.

As he opens the door to the apartment, viewers can see a small, cramped room that is empty except for a white wardrobe. There was also a single window with a view of the fire escape and other buildings.

Then, he filmed himself with his arms outstretched to show that the room wasn’t much larger than his reach.

He was almost able to touch both walls. The apartment was obviously missing some necessities, such as a bathroom and kitchen.

“Now, you’re probably wondering where the bathroom is, so let’s check that out. You have to make your way outside of the apartment and into this shared space,” Omar explained.

He then exited the apartment and walked down a hallway to get to the communal bathroom. It contained a sink, a toilet, and a shower against white tiled walls and flooring. In the video’s caption, Omar wrote, “Would you live here?”

Many users say they wouldn’t. They flocked to the comments section to share their disapproval of the tiny apartment.
