He attempted to apologize and claimed he was only trying to fix her relationship with their dad. Apparently, he believed springing their father on her was the “best way to do it.”
“But I told him he had no right to make that decision for me and that I never wanted to see our father again,” she revealed.
Her brother left after that. However, he won’t stop texting her and accusing her of overreacting. He thinks it’s unfair for her to cut off any chance of reconciliation.
Being at odds with her brother has left her feeling really torn, too. She knows she has a right to choose whether she wants her father in her life or not. Still, she doesn’t want to mess up her relationship with her brother.
“And at the same time, my boundaries are important to me,” she vented.
Amidst her whirlwind of mixed emotions, she’s now wondering if kicking her brother out and refusing to talk to their father was justified or made her a jerk.
