“He hid his victim in a wooded area on the outskirts of Szigliget, then drove back to Budapest, where he was arrested.”
The Budapest Police Headquarters later found out that the man who killed Kenzie had searched for some alarming things on the internet, such as if pigs really do eat dead bodies, what dead bodies smell like after decomposing, how to remove a rotting meat smell, and what happens after someone is reported as missing.
Kenzie’s murderer, whose identity has not yet been made public, was arrested after showing detectives where he hid her body.
In a Facebook group dedicated to finding Kenzie, Mary Eustace wrote, “Kenzie will forever be remembered as a beautiful and compassionate young woman who dedicated herself to caring for others and making the world a better place.”
“As a nurse practitioner, Kenzie used her humor, positivity, and limitless empathy to help heal her patients and encourage family and friends alike.”
Casey shared an update yesterday on the GoFundMe page for Kenzie, stating that the money raised will be used to get Kenzie home, pay for her funeral, and cover travel costs for her family. Additional funds will be used to pursue justice for Kenzie.
