She added that she knows they have a ton of things in common, but she wishes for things between them to calm down.
He felt like she led him on, and it was upsetting to hear this rationale from her, considering they did have a connection and shared an amazing first date.
He can understand that her life definitely sounds chaotic at the moment, as she’s buying a home, starting a new job, and beginning a new research program.
Also, she just moved to their city from somewhere else, so there is a lot that she has on her plate.
“I’ve been dating on Hinge for ages, so I know this is pretty usual, and it essentially means, ‘You were cool, I had fun, but I don’t fancy you enough to factor you into my hectic life,’ which is absolutely fine, but I thought for her to send the initial text straight after the date was misleading,” he clarified.
“It got my hopes up, which is my own problem, but there it is. Maybe she felt it in the moment and then woke up and didn’t feel it; it doesn’t really matter; I just want to rant.”
