But of course, the cider is the most important part of the experience, and you won’t be disappointed. The Riverhead Cider House has countless seasonal cider offerings that are whimsical, tasty, and totally “fall,” such as the Cinnamon Toast, Pumpkin Pie, and Apple Annie flavors.

When joined by some good company, you can sit back, relax, and spend a whole afternoon here. I personally have, and it was a wonderful experience.

Jamesport Farm Brewery

Farms go hand-in-hand with fall, so you can’t go wrong with enjoying a cold beer at Jamesport Farm Brewery.

Its 43 acres of farmland were actually once a potato farm, and the property’s rich history is what inspired the “farm brewery” theme. Today, it is Long Island’s only “Farm to Pint” brewery that grows and harvests most of the ingredients, like hops and barley, used for its craft beers.

Similar to the Riverhead Cider House, the facility is also both indoors and outdoors. You can head inside to order a beer at the bar before walking out to stroll the property or kick back and relax amongst the plentiful outside seating.

There is even a large, enclosed tent with a stage where you can drink your favorite beer and listen to some live music.

As for the beers, Jamesport Farm Brewery has plenty of offerings, from Pumpkin Ale and IPAs to darker Porter and Brown Ale. And if you aren’t a big beer person, that’s no problem because you can still order cider, cocktails, seltzer, and even wine!

Perhaps the best part, though, is that food trucks sometimes frequent Jamesport Farm Brewery as well. They serve up some scrumptious eats while you get your sip on.
