She’s Not Putting Her Boyfriend’s Name On Her Mortgage And Claimed He Could Either Pay Her Rent Or Find His Own Place

“I don’t know how he spends his money so fast, and honestly, it scares me.”

She’s tried helping her boyfriend make budget plans and save more cash several times, but he always fails.

Now, her boyfriend has acquired over $7,000 in debt and has a terrible credit score.

When she talked to her boyfriend about getting a house, she told him they could live together. But, due to his financial situation, she wasn’t interested in putting his name on the mortgage and would rather have him pay her rent every month as a contribution.

She believes that since her large savings and tons of hard work have gotten her where she wants to be, her boyfriend shouldn’t get to have his name on the fruits of her labor if he’s simply going to lounge around all the time.

“I gave him an ultimatum: either he can move into the house I buy and pay me rent without being on the mortgage, or he can find his own apartment at probably double the price,” she added.

“He was furious.”

Should she consider letting her boyfriend get on her mortgage, or is it a good idea to leave him off?
