He actually pulled her aside and begged her not to say anything about the other woman to her mom. He claimed things were “complicated” and that spilling the beans would ruin their family.
“He said I was just a kid, that I wouldn’t understand ‘adult relationships,’ and that I’d cause my mom unnecessary pain. But I feel like he’s the one causing the pain by lying and sneaking around,” she vented.
Still, she hasn’t yet told her mom, and the guilt is eating her alive. She can’t even look at her dad the same way anymore, and suppressing her emotions whenever they’re in the same room together is becoming impossible.
Deep down, she thinks that her mom has a right to know what’s going on.
“But I also don’t want to be the one to tear my family apart,” she vented.
This has left her wondering whether telling her mom the truth would be the best thing to do or not.
