She works from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, while her boyfriend works from 11:00 am to 8:30 pm, so she’d have to watch the kids alone from the moment they get out of school to the moment they go to bed.
“I expressed my concern for this, as I don’t have children, and this was a bit much for me, so I told him I was uncomfortable with that setup,” she recalled.
“He lashed out at me saying, ‘As a future stepmother, that is something you would have to do anyway.'”
She didn’t appreciate her boyfriend’s response, as while she agreed to move in with him, she didn’t sign up to take care of kids every other week and never showed an interest in becoming their stepmother.
So, she decided she had to break up with her boyfriend, as she disagreed with his sentiments.
However, she isn’t sure if she did the right thing based on his reaction.
Was she obligated to help her boyfriend raise his kids?
