“But it only seems like she picked me because I’m a logical choice. Shouldn’t it be more than that?” he asked.
That’s why their conversation has been bugging him ever since.
He realizes that his wife sincerely viewed what she was saying as a massive compliment. In his mind, though, he’s a bit upset about why she agreed to marry him, and he doesn’t know if that’s justified or not.
