Fast forward to the day of her date, and everything was going great. The guy was super sweet, and they were having a wonderful time together.
Then, about 30 minutes later, everything changed. She spotted her mom entering the cafe, and her mom proceeded to walk right over to her and the guy, sitting down at their table!
“I was mortified. My mom started making small talk with him, asking him where he was from and what his intentions were. She basically gave him the third degree right in front of me,” she revealed.
She couldn’t bear to even look at the guy. She was so embarrassed that she wanted to disappear. Her date seemed very uncomfortable as well, and about 10 minutes later, he came up with some excuse to leave.
Once the guy left, she didn’t hold back her rage, either, and totally flipped out on her mom. She claimed that her mom had no right to show up like that and sabotage her date.
“I was just making sure he was good enough for you. You should be grateful I care so much,” her mom replied.
She hasn’t been able to speak to her mom after what happened, and her dad accused her of overreacting. He also told her to apologize to her mom, who only loves her. Still, she feels like she can’t breathe in her own house.
“I’m so angry. I don’t know how to move past this,” she vented.
That’s why she has cut off her mother, and she’s wondering whether that’s so crazy or not.
