Her Fiancé Wants To Postpone Their Wedding, But She Said They Can Get Married Now Or Break Up Entirely

In her eyes, it would be extremely difficult to push their nuptials back since practically everything is already booked and paid for.

Yet, with their big day now only a few weeks away, her fiancé recently broached the topic of postponing it again.

She tried to gently talk to him and point out how tying the knot would mark a happy milestone in their lives. She also claimed that changing their wedding date wouldn’t be practical.

“But he wouldn’t hear it. He went off, calling me selfish and not understanding,” she explained.

This sparked a massive argument between them as well, and in the end, she decided to give her fiancé an ultimatum. More specifically, she stated that he could either marry her on their original date or cancel the wedding and call off their engagement entirely.

“Because I’m not getting married to a man who’s stringing me along like this without a single care for my feelings,” she vented.

Ever since giving him that option, she has begun staying with one of her friends, and her fiancé keeps calling her – asking to talk.

She doesn’t think their conversations are going anywhere, though. And in the wake of all this drama, she’s been left wondering if presenting her fiancé with that ultimatum in the first place was justified or only made her a jerk.

If you lost someone close to you, would you want your partner to be supportive? Are ultimatums the foundation of a strong relationship, or does it sound like this isn’t going to end well?
