Their parents have found out about the drama, too, and they’ve actually taken her brother’s side. They believe she’s being too harsh and needs to cut her brother some slack because he’s younger and “still figuring things out.”
This really rubbed her the wrong way since she never received any financial assistance from her parents.
“And I think that’s why they don’t really understand how much it’s affected me, both money-wise and mentally,” she vented.
She realizes that, of course, they’re siblings. However, she can’t justify giving him more cash if he’s just going to waste it again.
Even so, her parents’ and brother’s reactions have left her wondering whether drawing that boundary really made her a jerk.
