Her Brother And Sister-In-Law Kicked Her Out With No Warning Years Ago, So Now That They’re Being Evicted, She Doesn’t Want To Let Them Move In

“It was a really tough time for me, both emotionally and financially. I’ll never forget the feeling of being thrown out of my own brother’s house like that,” she admitted.

Now, that was a long time ago, and the tables have since turned. Her brother’s business went under, and he and Karen started having a really tough time financially recently.

That’s why, out of nowhere, Tom reached out and revealed they were getting evicted from their house.

She also learned that her brother’s family didn’t have anywhere to go, and he asked if he, Karen, and their two kids could move in with her for a few months.

She realizes that she can technically accommodate them because she is in a much better situation now. She has a solid job and a nice apartment, and she’s been saving up for a home.

“But the thought of letting them move in after what they did to me years ago just doesn’t sit right,” she reasoned.

This pushed her to tell Tom that she needed some time to think it over. And he hasn’t stopped trying to guilt-trip her in the meantime.

Her brother keeps texting her about how family members are “supposed” to be there for each other.

Their parents have gotten involved as well and believe she should help out Tom because what happened at his house years ago was “in the past.”

What’s still bugging her, though, is the fact that her sister-in-law has never once apologized for treating her like that.

“Not a word. Karen didn’t even acknowledge it when we spoke on the phone,” she vented.
