He Stopped Paying Child Support After The Mother Of His Child Married A New Man, But Now That She’s Getting Divorced, She Expects Him To Start Pitching In Again, And He’s Refusing

“My attorney calculated my payments to be about $4,500 based on my current financial standings,” he revealed.

“I definitely don’t want to pay out that much, so I had him draft her a letter telling her no.”

Well, once his family heard about this whole situation, his mom was particularly upset with him. She thinks he’s being “cruel to an innocent child” and that he should help out since he brought the kid into the world.

On top of that, his mom has begun hinting that he might not be invited to both Thanksgiving and Christmas unless he decides to “step up and be a man.”

And despite his father and brothers apparently agreeing with him, they still don’t want to get involved or fight with his mom.

“I love my mom, but I don’t want to be on the hook for almost $55,000 a year until the kid turns 18,” he vented.

Nonetheless, he’s now been left wondering if refusing to pay a cent more of child support is really the wrong thing to do.

Do you think he should follow his attorney’s advice? Or is his mother right?
