He Snooped Through His Wife’s Phone And Caught Her Lying About Meeting Up With A Former Male Coworker Three Days After Their Wedding, But He Doesn’t Know If He Should Confront Her

He realizes that he has invaded his wife’s privacy by tracking her location and looking at her messages.

“But I had a bad feeling, and my intuition was right. She did, in fact, lie to me about her location, and then, based on her conversation, I assume she met with her former coworker. Just three days after we got married!” he said.

Plus, he pointed out how, in the past, his wife had always sworn that he could use her phone whenever he wanted and that she had nothing to hide.

Even so, he can’t help but wonder if he’s being too controlling. On the one hand, he knows that they are both independent people with their own lives. Yet, on the other, he cannot get over how she blatantly lied to him.

“I mean, if I told her I was going to work in a cafe and then I instead took a train to a nearby town, then met with a female friend, I would think she would feel insecure if she found out,” he reasoned.

Nonetheless, he’s not sure whether snooping really was wrong or if he should confront his wife about this now.

Why would his wife hide her meet-up if she wasn’t doing something behind his back? How would you deal with this situation?
