Just like how cities can get ruder, they can also become kinder. Washington, DC, Maryland; Detroit, Michigan; San Jose, California; and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, have shown the most improvement, getting increasingly well-mannered over the years.
According to Preply, the results of the study show that the general rudeness levels of a city can change quite frequently.
