The following day, he sent her a text stating he was doubtful of their romance because of their ages. He expressed concern over her potentially wanting to start a family before he felt prepared.
He also said he was worried that she would be “wasting” her life away waiting around for him to feel ready for kids.
She made an effort to dispel his fears by saying she doesn’t picture having kids for another six years or so, and marriage isn’t something she needs to have.
Also, she already lives by herself, so he could just move into her place when he wants to take the next step and leave his family’s home.
But then he brought up their distance, and how he lives an hour away from her, yet she doesn’t drive as she’s working on getting a license.
Ultimately, he just dumped her over text.
“I told him the age no longer bothered me as it’s just a number, and I enjoy being with him so that outweighs my concerns; we also don’t know the future,” she added.
“We might not work out for different reasons. I just feel so devastated that it’s ended due to our age [and] that he reassured me only to bail when it became an issue for him without a proper conversation.”
“He’s since ghosted me, and I wish the gap wasn’t there. I miss him a lot and have no idea what to do. I’m also upset this all happened after we were intimate. I told him I trusted him, and he said he liked me. He had no plans to go anywhere.”
