Metal joints and hips are number four, and Lauren admits this is a super common thing to witness. These metal parts are put into a recycling bin that gets picked up every couple of months.
Lauren adds that bone can fuse to the metal, and if that happens, she does her best to separate that all out.
The final thing on the list is pacemakers. Lauren maintains that pacemakers should be removed prior to cremation, but morticians can forget to do this or not even see them. Apparently, they explode when they reach a certain temperature.
