She Wouldn’t Take In Her Brother’s Family After A Burst Pipe Flooded Their House Because His Kids Are Just Too Destructive

He had a problem with that, though, because he thought their parent’s home was too small for everybody. Additionally, he believed staying at her place would be more convenient since she’s closer to the kids’ school, as well as her brother and sister-in-law’s workplaces.

Even so, she wouldn’t budge, and now, her brother is accusing her of being both selfish and inconsiderate. Her parents have seemingly taken his side, too, telling her that she needed to be more generous, as “family is everything.”

“But I really don’t want to live with two kids running around my house for weeks. I know they’re going through a tough time, but I don’t think I should have to upend my life because of it,” she vented.

Nonetheless, she’s now unsure if not taking her brother’s family in following the flood actually does make her a jerk.

Is it important to help out loved ones? At the same time, should she have to feel displaced in her own home? What would you do?
