She Wouldn’t Switch Plane Seats With A Little Girl Who Was Separated From Her Family On A Flight, So She Was Glared At For The Entire Trip

Still, the situation continued escalating, and a flight attendant actually got involved. The flight attendant took the mother’s side, too, and asked if she’d reconsider switching spots with the little girl.

“I stood my ground, saying I wasn’t comfortable in the middle seat for an 8-hour flight,” she recalled.

Anyway, after the plane finally took off, the family continued to glare at her throughout the entire trip. At one point, she even overheard the mother loudly telling the children that “some people just don’t have any compassion.”

“I feel terrible but also justified. After all, I paid for my seat, and it wasn’t my responsibility to fix the airline’s mistake,” she vented.

Even so, once she told her family and friends about what happened, they had some mixed opinions. Some people believe she had a right to the window seat she booked, while others thought she should’ve switched for the sake of the young girl.

Now, she can’t help but wonder if refusing to give up her seat for a child was understandable or a jerky move.

Was she obligated to change spots, or should the mother have paid for assigned seats ahead of time? What would you have done in this awkward situation?
