“That was the moment I realized I couldn’t rely on him anymore. If he can’t be there for me when I’m at my lowest, what’s the point of being married?” she asked.
She ultimately told her husband that she wanted to separate, and he freaked out. He believes she is acting selfishly by not considering how much her illness is impacting him.
“He says I’m making him feel guilty for something he can’t control. But to me, it feels like he just doesn’t care,” she vented.
Nonetheless, she can’t help but wonder if wanting to end their marriage over this is justified or too far.
Didn’t her husband “sign up for this” when he tied the knot with her? How would you feel if your spouse treated you like that when you got sick? Should she leave him?
