Her friend responded by saying, “Why should I pay? You’re driving anyway.”
She tried to point out how, during all of their trips together, she’d covered the cost of gas completely by herself.
“And it’s not cheap, especially in my clunker,” she explained.
Well, rather than understanding that, Jenny just went off on her – accusing her of being greedy and cheap!
This pushed her to give her friend an ultimatum. More specifically, she stated she wouldn’t give Jenny a ride to the concert unless she got some help paying for the gas.
Still, her friend refused to budge and called her petty. Then, Jenny actually bailed on the concert and hasn’t spoken to her ever since!
“The thing is, I don’t mind driving her, but with these prices, every dollar counts,” she vented.
“Am I really being cheap here, or is she just freeloading off me?”
