It made her sick to her stomach to see that because she had a panic attack that day and was desperate to get a hold of her therapist. While she was struggling, her husband was messaging guys on a dating app.
She quickly packed up some things, grabbed her son, and went to stay with her mom and dad. Before she left the house, her husband attempted to get her to stay and discuss everything with him.
“I said I’m not ready,” she explained. “I don’t really know what he can say to make this better.”
Her husband maintains that the messages were nothing more than a fantasy to him, but she feels that downloading the app is crossing a line.
“He says he’s never met with anyone outside of our marriage, and I believe that, but I still consider this cheating on me,” she said.
“I’m staying with my parents currently. I mean, I’m a teacher in the area. On top of being so hurt and betrayed, I’m scared this could somehow become a rumor/scandal about me.”
It’s too much for her to have to deal with this on top of trying to get back to feeling great about herself now that she’s adjusting to being a mom.
Her husband has since sent her a text stating he’s going to start going to therapy, but that hardly helps fix the damage already done.
What advice do you have for her?
