The shoe game

This is actually an activity for the happy couple that guests can enjoy watching! The bride and groom sit back to back, and each has a bride’s shoe and groom’s shoe in their hands. Then they’re asked questions like, “Who takes the longest to get ready?” and have to hold up a shoe to answer for the bride or groom.

Bingo

Bingo is an event classic, and in the wedding planning world, there are so many ways to jazz it up and make it more personal. Instead of numbers, you could add fun facts about the happy couple’s relationship or interests.

Outdoor Lawn Games

If you’re getting married at a venue with a nice big lawn for your guests to mingle on, see if they can play games outside, too!

Cornhole

Cornhole is another classic event and tailgating game, as it’s super fun and requires few materials. This is an especially great activity to get your guests bonding, as they’ll work in pairs and have a good time. Just be sure no one throws their bean bag too hard!

Giant Jenga

I am a big fan of Jenga, the high-stakes game with all the stacked blocks, and nowadays, there are larger versions of Jenga that are more suitable for larger crowds.

Better yet, you can also make it ‘truth or dare’ Jenga and write prompts on the back of each block to really foster some great connection.
