She also reminded her family that they said her son would never amount to anything. Yet, today, she has a handsome and successful son who loves her and takes care of her.
“While some of those who were the loudest critics are still struggling with money and other issues,” she said.
This pushed some family members to go quiet while others started trying to downplay her son’s success. Those people claimed her son was just “lucky” or that she shouldn’t rely on him.
“But honestly, it felt really good to finally prove them wrong. My son worked hard to get where he is, and I’m incredibly proud of both of us for making it despite the odds,” she vented.
Still, she’s now been left wondering if calling out her family and rubbing it in their faces that her son is now successful was justified or kind of a jerky move.
