“This wicked, vile woman then said there is nothing that I’ve accomplished to be praised for, and that hurt.”
She began training for her new position the following day and panicked when her manager called her into the storage room for a private chat.
She discovered that her mom called the store earlier, telling them they shouldn’t have hired her because she’s a thief.
Horrified, she denied the accusations and explained her history with her mom. She stressed to her manager how she really had to start working to get away from her mom and avoid situations like that in the future.
When she returned home later that day, she and her mom got into a screaming match, where she called her mom a jealous and bitter person.
Then, her mom told her she was being selfish for “abandoning” her. Her dad has also gotten involved but doesn’t know who to believe, as her mom feeds him lies regarding their fight.
Now, she’s wondering if she should’ve stayed quiet about her new gig and avoided the battle with her mom.
