Her Boyfriend Called Her Selfish Since She Wouldn’t Give Her Old Prom Dress To His Little Sister, Who Can’t Afford To Get A Designer Gown

Nonetheless, her boyfriend kept pushing because he wanted his sister to have the experience of wearing a designer dress.

Still, even if she could just loan the gown to her boyfriend’s sister, she doesn’t think that would work. After all, his sister is much shorter than her, so some major alterations would need to be made.

“That’s why he wants me to give it for free because just doing the alterations would stretch them thin financially. But he wants it to be special for her,” she detailed.

To be clear, she is touched by how much her boyfriend cares for and looks out for his sister. Even so, she really wanted to keep her own junior prom dress.

She tried telling her boyfriend that, too, yet he actually just accused her of being selfish.

He claimed that his sister, who goes to a private school on a full-ride scholarship, is surrounded by rich kids, and he just wants her to fit in at prom.

Her boyfriend also argued that the dress would just sit in her closet since she wouldn’t wear it again.

“And he was insanely pushy about it, and now he won’t speak to me,” she vented.

This whole situation has left her wondering if refusing to give away her old prom dress is justified or makes her a real jerk.

Can you understand why she doesn’t want to part with her junior prom dress? Or should she help her boyfriend’s little sister out? What would you do?
