He Told His Best Friend That His Wife Was Planning To Drain Their Joint Savings Account And Move Across The Country Behind His Back

“That led to a semi-heated discussion where she said I would ruin her relationship with Abby, so I asked if she thought that was acceptable behavior, and she disagreed, [saying] it wasn’t our place to involve ourselves,” he recalled.

“I simply said this isn’t something I could just sit on, and I would be informing Jake.”

Elizabeth eventually conceded, telling him she wouldn’t stop him. Later that day, he sent a lengthy text to Jack, informing him of everything Abby had said to Elizabeth.

Jack thanked him, telling him he’d take half of his and Abby’s joint bank account balance out later that night and would speak to a lawyer.

Jack then confronted Abby, and Abby subsequently went off on Elizabeth, telling her she no longer considered her a friend.

Abby explained that she needed her and Jack’s joint account money to get home and “establish” herself but could no longer do so. Elizabeth has been upset ever since and is angry at him for ruining her friendship.

Now, he’s left wondering if he was wrong to reveal Abby’s plans, as it destroyed a friendship and a marriage but protected his friend from major harm.

Do you think he did the right thing?
