He Saved Up To Pay For His Sister’s Prosthetic Leg For Years, But His Wife Is Angry That He’s Continued Sending Her Money Afterward

His sister felt bad that he was using a lot of money on her, but he didn’t want her to have to spend a dime on something like that.

“Over the last year, his sister has been thrilled with her new leg, and her life has been much easier,” he explained.

“My sister is very comfortable walking, biking, dancing, and going on hikes. It makes me very happy. She’s thanked me countless times over the past few months and even cried. It’s the least I could do, as I’ve always felt guilty that my sister lost her leg and not me.”

He has continued to set aside money and put it into the savings account for his sister, as within the next few years, her prosthetic may require some repairs. And although her quality of life has gotten better, she’ll still need to pay more in medical bills than the average person.

Unfortunately, his wife is annoyed that he’s kept giving money to his sister.

“I’ve reminded my wife multiple times that I would contribute to this account forever as long as I’m getting a paycheck,” he recalled.

“Me contributing to the savings account isn’t affecting the quality of our lives, [but] last night, my wife again brought up my contributions [and] said that my sister was taking me for granted.”

When he heard this, he lost his cool and went off on his wife, telling her she was extremely selfish and pathetic. He slept on the couch and woke up feeling guilty the next morning as he had never said anything like that to her before.

They both apologized, but the incident was still eating him up inside.

Was he wrong to call his wife selfish, or was his outburst understandable?
