“She has been asking me to ask my sister for repayment because their marriage did not pan out,” he revealed.
However, in his mind, whether or not his sister’s wedding worked out was completely separate from his gift. The money was meant to help his sister plan her dream wedding, which she did.
“And how their marriage panned out later is irrelevant,” he reasoned.
Not to mention, he and his wife are extremely comfortable in terms of finances. In fact, he claimed that they have “absolutely no need” for the $40,000 back.
Despite that, with his wife angry at him now, he’s been left wondering if not wanting to ask for the money back is reasonable or not.
