His sister agreed to watch after his son, too, so once his child was gone, he finally unleashed all of his feelings on his wife.
“I don’t usually get angry much, but last weekend, I did. All my pent-up emotions bubbled up, and I said a lot of horrible things to my wife,” he explained.
He hoped that his wife would at least have something to say for herself, but that wasn’t the case. Rather, she just stayed quiet and kept crying, which only infuriated him more.
Afterward, he wound up forcing his wife to call both her parents and her siblings to confess to cheating on him.
“That was the first time my wife said something, and she seemed really hesitant about it. But I told her I would leave her if she didn’t,” he revealed.
“And so she did. She called her parents and her siblings and told them that she cheated on me.”
Once his wife owned up to her mistakes, he actually felt a lot better, and much of his anger subsided. She, on the other hand, has been crying a ton since their argument. Still, he doesn’t even have the emotional energy to console her.
“All I’m telling my wife is to not cry when our son is there and to do it alone in the bathroom or somewhere else,” he vented.
Now, with their marriage on the rocks, he’s not sure if he handled the situation appropriately or if making his wife own up to her cheating was the wrong thing to do.
