This isn’t the first time Eastman has made such a discovery. She regularly fishes out remarkable artifacts from river beds.
Her personal collection contains military items such as WWI helmets and badges, rings, and a gold watch from the 1920s.
She had the watch restored and wears it every day. One of her favorite finds is her array of ink bottles with elaborate designs from the mid-19th century.
“I keep them in my home, and I like to call my social media my online museum — I love the idea one day, some of these things will end up in a museum,” she said.
