“He continued texting me over the following weeks, confessing that he actually enjoyed that night and had liked me,” she explained.
“Charmed but unsure, we began texting frequently. He was kind, and I started developing feelings for him.”
She and her boss eventually entered a secret relationship they hid from their coworkers. They started going on casual dates, getting dinner and drinks, and continuing to be physical with one another.
However, over time, her boss started behaving differently. He was colder and more demanding at work, which he’d brush off as being busy.
Eventually, her boss only started calling her when he was interested in hooking up, which she didn’t like, as she had developed feelings for him.
“I confronted him and said I didn’t want to continue this friends-with-benefits situation,” she said.
“He did not agree to this being just [physical]. However, he seemed to be taking ‘the breakup’ well. But, he kept texting over time, hoping I would agree to his advances.”
When she started turning her boss down, his behavior at work got worse. He’s been acting rude and weird only toward her, to the point where her coworkers have noticed. Then, he threatened her, telling her he’d fire her if she started causing problems at work.
Now, she’s considering quitting and exposing their out-of-work relationship and his harassment before leaving.
