17 years ago, this 38-year-old woman got married to her 43-year-old husband, and they now have three children together: a 12, 13, and 16-year-old. From the start, their relationship has proven to be an untamed and excitement-filled journey. Back in 2007, she and her husband began as friends with benefits, but after a surprise pregnancy, they decided to get married ASAP. This all went down in the same year, so it was a heck of a lot for them to adjust to. Not only were they trying to deal with getting to actually know one another, but they added a wedding and becoming parents to their plates. Being married and coupled with a push into parenthood was certainly a challenge for the two of them, but they were able to make it all come together nicely. All of their loved ones cheered them on, and it helped to have the support of their family members and friends. She's felt all along that her husband is wonderful in the role of her partner, and he also excels as a dad to their kids. But a month ago, the life that she worked so hard to build with her husband all came crashing down. A female employee at her husband's company reached out to her to say that her husband has been cheating with one of his coworkers. This woman revealed to her that her husband got close to his coworker a year ago before providing hard evidence: audio recordings, videos, and photos of the affair. "I was shocked. I confronted him that night after he got home, and to my surprise, he shamelessly confirmed the whole thing right away by telling me that that woman is his girlfriend," she explained. That sparked an argument, and her husband insisted that it was alright since he never neglected her or their kids, and additionally, he never got caught in public with his mistress. The real kicker for her was when her husband stated that he's still attracted to her and loves her, but that doesn't equate to him being unable to feel that same way about another woman. He dodged the blame as they disagreed and couldn't see how he did anything wrong by getting himself a girlfriend on the side. Her kids have no clue that she and her husband are at odds and that she's considering leaving him, but their loved ones are aware of the infidelity. Her friends, her family, and her husband's family are all accusing her of being selfish for wanting to file for divorce. They say it's not enough of a reason for her to walk away from her husband and marriage. They also guilted her by mentioning their kids need to grow up in a stable home, and she will ruin that. Another argument they provided is that because her husband is a man, the affair is fine. They followed that up by saying her husband didn't humiliate her or treat her poorly, so she can't have an issue with his affair. Her loved ones have maintained that she's selfish and missing out on the larger picture by wanting a divorce. She has been a stay-at-home mom ever since she and her husband welcomed their first child into the world. her loved ones think her husband has done a wonderful job providing for her, and she lives a wonderful life. To them, this means she should stay put no matter what. The opposition from those closest to her has left her wondering if she really is an awful person for contemplating a divorce.
