“I understand not knowing what to get me, but not doing anything at all is hurtful. I mentioned this to him, and he said he’d try to do better,” she explained.
Still, just the other day, she and her husband decided to go over to her sister’s house, and her sister brought up his lack of presents. Her sister even point-blank asked her husband why he never bought her any gifts – not even on her birthday!
At that point, her husband just claimed that he never knew what to buy her. This wasn’t a good enough answer for her sister, either.
“My sister kind of got mad at him and told him to step it up,” she revealed.
This really upset her husband, too, and once they got back home that night, he “berated” her for telling her sister about the lack of presents in the first place.
In her defense, she simply didn’t want to lie to her sister.
Still, she now has been left wondering if telling her sister that her husband has never bought her one present was justified or a jerky move.
