She Doesn’t Want To Pay $12 For Her Friend’s Kids To Attend Her Bridal Shower

One of the bridesmaids mentioned to the rest of them that the bride was hoping to invite her two kids, who are 10 and 18, to the bridal shower brunch.

The maid of honor said she would pay $60 for one of the bride’s kids to be there, and the bridesmaid, who said the bride wanted her kids to come, asked if someone else would pay for the second child.

“I love the bride’s children, and whenever I visit, I give them gifts because they’re great kids,” she said.

“However, I am paying for my travel to the bridal shower and wedding. I feel financially tapped out and said I cannot pay for one of the children. One of the bridesmaids asked if we can split the cost ($12/each) to cover the child, and I said no.”

She’s left wondering if she’s mean for not pitching in the $12 for one of the bride’s kids to come, and it’s also been weighing on her not to have cash prizes for the bridal shower games.
