His Fiancée Broke Off Their Engagement, So He Asked For Her Ring Back And Said She Can’t Live With Him Anymore

His ex-fiancée told him it would be best if they remained friends, and things got super awkward, especially because they lived together in his home.

She stuck around for a while after their breakup, and although he tried avoiding her, it became too difficult, as his house wasn’t big enough for that. He came to the realization that he shouldn’t have to feel uncomfortable in his own home.

Eventually, he told his ex she’d have to move out of his house and give him back his engagement ring since their wedding was off. He told her there was no point in her living with him or wearing the ring he got for her as a proposal to marry her.

His ex protested, arguing against his reasoning and insisting she at least keep her engagement ring since he gave it to her.

However, he stood his ground, and after nine days of back and forth, she moved out and gave him back the ring. She moved in with her parents but was sure to guilt-trip him before leaving.

“She said that she had a legitimate reason to call off our engagement and that she shouldn’t be made homeless because of it,” he recalled.

“I don’t fault her for calling off our engagement. I just wish she would have told me sooner.”

Was he wrong to ask his ex to leave his house?
