She Was Going To Be In Her Friend’s Bridal Party
A woman was supposed to be included in her friend’s upcoming wedding, but after she cut her hair, her friend kicked her out of the bridal party for what she did.
She Had To Buy Three Dresses For Her Friend’s Wedding
She started out by explaining that her friend’s wedding was supposed to last 3 days, and so she had to pay for 3 totally different dresses and certain shoes.
She Spent More Than $700 On Her Outfits And Accessories
She also had to pay for the alterations on all of the dresses. All in, she spent well over $700 for all of the outfits and things she needed to be part of the bridal party.
Her Friend Also Expected Her To Have Her Hair Done In Specific Styles
Her friend, the bride-to-be, had also insisted that she have her hair done in certain styles for the 3 days.
But In March, Her Hair Started Falling Out In Chunks
As of this March, her hair began falling out in clumps over some health issues that she had. 4 months ago, she had to make a tough choice to cut off her hair since it was just coming out.
She Told The Bride-To-Be She Had To Cut Her Hair
2 weeks before she was supposed to be in the wedding, she told the bride-to-be that she had no choice but to cut her hair.
A Week Later, The Bride-To-Be Changed Her Mind About The Haircut
Initially, the bride-to-be had nothing negative to say about her haircut, but after a week went by, her friend changed her mind.
The Bride-To-Be Didn’t Like Her Hair
The bride-to-be was at her house, and as she was leaving, she said she was bothered by her new haircut.
She Promised To Make Her Hair Look Great, Even Though She Wouldn’t Match The Other Bridesmaids
She insisted she would make her hair look great for all 3 days of the wedding despite the fact that it now would not match the hairstyles of the rest of the bridesmaids.
Three Days Before The Wedding, The Bride-To-Be Texted Her
Several days after that conversation happened, the bride-to-be sent her the text message below just 3 days before the 1st day of the wedding was about to begin:
This Is What The Text Said
“After our recent conversations, I’d like to remind you of my boundaries: I’ve been very accommodating and graceful, but I can’t allow you to disrespect me.”
But It Got Worse From There
“As you know, my wedding has been something I’ve dreamt of for many years. (Husband) and I have invested a lot of money into the video and photos of this day, and as we reflect on this day in the future, we want to see our vision reflected in the memories.”
“Since I asked each of you to be a bridesmaid in 2019, I’ve been very clear and very communicative in my request.”
And The Bride-To-Be Kept Going
“The timing of your decision to cut your hair and not income in advance is very upsetting to me. I would have felt respected if you had communicated with me more than a week prior to the wedding so we could have worked together to find a collaborative solution.”
“Your inconsistencies have concerned me, and while I sympathize with your health concerns, I’m not willing to compromise my vision to accommodate you (or anyone else) when you have informed me in advance, and we could have found a better solution.”
The Bride-To-Be Asked Her To Bow Out Of The Bridal Party
“Since this is something you can no longer fully commit to, I need you to please step down from participating in my wedding.”
She Sent The Bride-To-Be Invoices For What She Spent
As soon as she got this text, she replied back to the bride-to-be and her future husband by sending them the invoice for the shoes and dresses she had to buy for the wedding.
She Asked To Be Reimbursed
She asked that the couple pay her for everything she had already bought for their special day. The bride even had one dress that she paid for already but did not have.
The Bride-To-Be Never Responded
The bride-to-be and her future husband never responded back to the invoice she sent, so she thinks she needs to take them both to court to solve this.
She Knew She Would Have To Spend Money On The Wedding
She knew when she agreed to be a bridesmaid that she was going to have to shell out a good bit of money, but she was more than happy to do whatever her friend wanted on her special day.
She’s Shocked The Bride-To-Be Accused Her Of Being Selfish
She can’t believe her friend called her selfish and inconsistent, especially since she devoted a ton of her time to helping plan the wedding shower and the wedding itself.
