Her Mom Sadly Passed Away When She Was Little
This sixteen-year-old girl’s mom sadly passed away when she was eight-years-old. But, after losing her mother, she was blessed to retain much of her mother’s looks.
She Looks Like She Could Be Her Mom’s Twin
“I look just like her– the same hair, same eyes, and with the right makeup, I resemble her exact face,” she explained.
After Her Mom Passed, She Became Closer To Her Dad
Plus, after she and her father suffered the loss, their relationship, thankfully, only grew stronger. They became very close-knit, and she knows she can always depend on her father for anything.

But now, her father is about to get married to his girlfriend of three years, and her future stepmother is not the most considerate.
Her Dad Talked To Her First Before Proposing
For example, when her father was thinking of marrying his girlfriend, he first asked her about it before moving forward.
Her Future Stepmom Really Didn’t Like That
“But, she did not like that he introduced the idea to me rather than just ask her and then let me find out,” she recalled.
This Woman Also Wants To Exclude Her From The Wedding Party
Another thing her future stepmother did not like was that she did not want to take part in the wedding party.
She’s Afraid She’s Never Going To Have A Good Relationship With Her Future Stepmom
Don’t get me wrong– she is really happy for her dad. Still, though, she feels like she and her stepmother will never achieve a bond nearly as close as it was with her biological mom.
She Tried To Please Her Future Stepmom
So, she simply agreed to deliver a small speech about them at the wedding– and everything settled down after that.
Now There’s A New Conflict
However, a new conflict has arisen since she went shopping with her grandmother and stepmother last week.
She Tried On A Dress To Wear For The Wedding
While they were browsing, she saw a dress she really wanted to get for the wedding and went into the store to try it on.

“It was an olive dress that matched my hair nicely– I’m ginger. They complimented me, and my grandma said that I looked like my mother because she wore that color so much,” she said.
She Forgot About The Comment
The comment was a fleeting one, though, and she thought nothing of it since the rest of the shopping trip went smoothly.
Then Her Future Stepmom Made A Crazy Request

And Her Future Stepmom’s Family Is Blaming Her
Moreover, her stepmother’s family now believes that she is the reason the wedding is temporarily off because she would not abide by “the bride’s request.”
She’s Wondering If She Was Wrong To Tell Her Dad About The Request
So now, even though she knows there was no way she would have ever dyed her hair or worn a wig, she is not sure if telling her father about the bizarre request was the wrong thing to do.
Would you be uncomfortable if your future stepmom asked you to change your resemblance? How would you have handled this situation?
