He And His Wife Are Struggling Financially, But She Wants To Get A Tattoo With Money She Hid From Him

“However, last night, my wife said her friends are coming into town in August, and she wants to get a couple of tattoos with them while they are here. Being that just about every cent I make goes to bills and groceries, I asked how she [plans to] pay for it, and she told me she’s got a secret stash of money that she uses.”

“I shrugged it off and said okay because it is her money. But as the hours have passed, it’s starting to bug me more and more.”

His wife quit her job back in December, so she’s been sitting on this hidden cash for quite some time.

She didn’t think to use that to buy Christmas or birthday presents for him, and she’s stood by and watched as he’s fallen further behind on all of their bills over the last six months.

He’s so upset that his wife didn’t offer to use her money to help with the bills or do something thoughtful for him.

It’s kind of selfish she wants to use the money to get tattoos with her friends. He’s left wondering if it’s wrong of him to believe his wife doesn’t consider him and their family to be her top priority.

He’s also curious about how he can speak to his wife about his feelings in a productive way.

What advice do you have for him?
