There also will not be a bartender at her wedding; the drinks will be made in a kitchen and brought out by the servers.
She can admit that it was unfair of her to make all of her guests stick to two drinks only and make them drink only at their seats, but she was hoping to minimize mess and damage to the venue by insisting on this.
Unfortunately, she has greatly upset her loved ones and her fiancé’s family as well, with people calling her many rude names, like a bridezilla.
One of her uncles also specifically called her a jerk for ruining the fun of the wedding reception already.
Everyone has had an overwhelmingly negative response to her drink ticket system, so she’s second-guessing it.
“I don’t want them to jump through hoops ’cause I’m the bride; I wanted to keep people from ordering their drinks and then gifting them to someone who already drank their two,” she continued.
“I can see that it was unfair of me to assume and treat my family and friends like children in this regard. I’m going to discuss with my fiancé about changing it to “We ask that you consume food and beverage while seated.”
“This way, guests aren’t forced to sit and mingle only with their table but also keep accidental spills to a minimum, which was a second part to that specification.”
She’s left wondering if this was mean of her to do to her guests and if she should have opted for an open bar instead.
