She Vanished Last Month After Taking An Uber And It’s Not Clear If She Was Driven Home

Another week later, on June 9, 2024, authorities conducted a second search in the Clear Creek Area of Redding, California – close to the Win-River Casino. However, no evidence or clues connected to Nikki’s case were uncovered.

In the wake of her disappearance, Nikki’s husband, Tyler Scott McCain, has also gained attention in the media.

Nikki and Tyler got married in 2016, but on December 2, 2023, Tyler was reportedly charged with four felonies related to domestic violence, as well as 15 other allegations. The felony charges included corporal injury to a spouse, false imprisonment, criminal threats, and assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury.

Following Nikki’s disappearance, Tyler appeared in court on June 3, 2024, for a preliminary hearing. His next court date is set for June 28, and his trial is expected to take place this summer.

But Nikki will be unable to testify if she remains missing. Additionally, investigators have not confirmed whether Tyler is a suspect in her disappearance. Nikki’s case was initially being investigated by the Redding Police Department.

“However, due to information suggesting Nikki was last seen outside city limits, the investigation has been taken over by the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit,” the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office stated in a press release.

According to Nikki’s sister, Kaye Saelee-McCain, Nikki’s disappearance is puzzling and completely out of character.

“Nikki is a very, very caring person. She wouldn’t have left, she would not have disappeared on her own; this is very, very out of character for her. This is why it’s very urgent that we find her,” Kaye said.

Right now, Redding Rancheria is currently offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to Nikki’s discovery.

Nikki is five feet tall, weighs 100 pounds, and has brown/red hair and brown eyes. She also has a tattoo of a floral design on her left forearm.

If you have any information regarding her disappearance or whereabouts, you are urged to contact the Shasta County Major Crimes Unit at (530) 245-6135.
