She Told Her Brother’s Fiancée That She Was No Longer Welcome At Family Dinners After She Criticized Her Mom’s Cooking

“After dinner, I pulled Lisa aside and told her that her comments were hurtful and that she needed to be more respectful of our family traditions,” she recalled.

“She brushed me off, saying she was just trying to help us improve. Frustrated, I told her that if she couldn’t be respectful, she wasn’t welcome at our family dinners anymore.”

Mike overheard her talking to Lisa and, unfortunately, took Lisa’s side. He became very angry and told her that Lisa was about to become an official family member, so she needed to accept her and her opinions.

Her relatives were quite upset at the end of the evening, as they hated family conflict and drama.

Now, she doesn’t know what to do. While she wants to keep the peace with Mike and her future sister-in-law, she doesn’t want to share her family tradition with someone who talks disrespectfully about it.
