According to Abbie’s brother, Brian Flynn, she was an “incredibly dedicated mother.” She also had a happy relationship with her husband, Richard, who was in Houston when she vanished and immediately flew to Gloucester after learning of her disappearance.
“They had a wonderful life and are just really happy. It doesn’t make sense that she would just walk away,” Brian said.
Nonetheless, authorities have uncovered no evidence or promising leads in Abbie’s disappearance, and her case is still unsolved.
At the time she vanished, Abbie was five foot five, weighed about 200 pounds, and had brown hair and brown eyes.
She was possibly wearing blue jeans, a flannel shirt, a navy blue L.L. Bean puffer jacket, and L.L. Bean boots when she went missing.
