Her Unemployed Boyfriend Called Her Ungrateful Even Though He Lost His Job And Forced Them To Move Into Her Mom’s Basement When They Were Planning To Buy A House

Then, once they returned home, her boyfriend randomly claimed that he expected her to pay for half of the groceries.

She tried to tell him how, when they left for the grocery store, he never made that expectation clear. So, she refused to pay for the items.

“He then started on how I’m such [a jerk] for taking advantage of his labor and not paying him for his work at my mom’s or for ‘my portion’ of the groceries,” she explained.

But, in her eyes, her boyfriend already is getting paid by receiving free housing, electricity, water, and internet by working at her mom’s house.

“And the food stamps were for groceries for both of us, and I paid the last two times we grocery shopped,” she vented.

Still, ever since their argument, she’s been left wondering if she really did act ungrateful toward her boyfriend.

Was she in the wrong, or do you think her boyfriend is the one acting ungrateful? How do you suggest she handles this situation?
