Her Friend Wants Her To Wear Her White Wedding Dress From Her First Marriage To Her Second Wedding To Save Costs

The cost of a dress to wear wasn’t what she was the most worried about having to cough up the cash for.

“Then, she followed up by offering for me to wear her old wedding dress from her first wedding. And she added that she didn’t care about other people wearing white to her wedding,” she said.

Her friend’s first wedding happened in 2017, but her marriage was over by 2020. She and her husband went to the wedding (back then, her husband was just her boyfriend).

She remembers her friend’s wedding dress; it was minimalist and gorgeous. She hasn’t been filed in on the details surrounding her friend’s divorce, but she knows it was ugly.

You can see why she found it crazy for her friend to suggest she wear her literal wedding dress from her first wedding to the second wedding.

She still can’t understand why her friend would say something like that, and she thinks it’s so weird of her friend to want her to wear the wedding dress as a guest.

“She got a bit upset at my rejection and said that she was trying to do everything she could to help us attend,” she added.

“Again, I thanked her for being so generous with her offers to help, but at this point, I was trying to end the phone call as quickly as possible. TBH, there’s something very off-putting to me about the idea of wearing the bride’s wedding dress from her previous wedding to her current one.”

“And a lot of people who attended her first wedding will be at this one, so I think at least some will recognize the dress. I would just feel so embarrassed the entire time. So even if we could afford to go to the wedding, I would have turned down this offer anyway.”

She obviously didn’t say this to her friend while on the phone with her. Then, yesterday, her friend texted her a lengthy message, stating that she’s being rude and ungrateful.

Her friend thinks she should have made an effort to go to the wedding and accused her of not caring about their friendship.
