“They say that biology doesn’t matter; I raised her, and she sees me as her father. They accuse me of being heartless and cruel for walking away from a little girl who loves me. I get messages and calls almost daily, calling me out for my decision.”
He feels very guilty for leaving Lily, especially because she’s too young to understand what’s going on fully.
However, he can’t shake the betrayal and hurt he feels. He believes that he won’t be able to raise Lily without feeling like a fraud since he’s not her biological father.
Was he wrong for leaving Lily and Sarah, or were his actions understandable?
