Lowery is facing a lot of backlash from the scientific community for his research because he didn’t have it peer-reviewed and published in an academic journal.
Instead, he simply published it in a 260-page manuscript online. Many scientists have refused to accept his findings, while others believe it is ridiculous to ignore the information just because they haven’t gone through the peer review process yet.
For now, Lowery plans to continue excavations around Parsons Island to dig up even more evidence to support his claims.
